Florentinum

I love Prague, its centre, the Old Town. The ambience is so unique. There are places where you’ll always feel like a tourist and those tourist endorphins make you feel like you’re on a holiday. When I was making the decision to start a business, one of the main criteria was that it would have to be in the centre and that I would not be opening a small hair studio with only two mirrors! I wanted to run a business, to improve, to employ people and create truly friendly relations, much stronger than just those between colleagues. And to succeed, I needed a place with genius loci! When we found Dušní, it was love at first sight.

I have spent over twenty years with people who are not just my colleagues; I have worked hard on deserving this place… A lot of work, getting experience and maturing within our brand have all been immensely streamlined thanks to our address. Our salon at Dušní 6 was the first one of its kind in Czechia. An interior designed by a famous architectural studio, luxurious materials and the address made us a hairstyling icon. Stylists were inspired by is, copied us with more or less success, but no-one has caught up with the huge lead we have thanks to our brand, our people and know-how.

We love taking care of you, our clients, and we strive to offer the best and professional service; it is this symbiosis between us, the stylists, and you, the clients, that makes us the best in the field.

Libor Šula

Majitel

What does working for Libor Šula The Salon mean to me?
To work for myself, that means permanent pressure from the management! I’m proud to be with people who respect my work and who feel confident next to me on a daily basis. The fact that I can consider my name a “brand” is basically a joint merit of all the people, whether they have only swept by or are the most important in my life and I can be, live, work… and breathe next to them.

What would I do if I weren’t a stylist
I would be a gardener. I have always loved the scent of rain. And I feel truly happy whenever I am in the woods or in the garden, digging in the dirt. That helps me become aware of what’s most important in my life. And thus I’m a professional stylist and an amateur gardener.

What does Libor think about himself?

“Libor should sometimes pause and look at himself. However, sometimes it’s better to ignore that :)”

What would I do if I weren’t a stylist?
There’s nothing I’d want more than being a stylist. So, I don’t even think about it.

What would I do if I weren’t a stylist?
I originally wanted to be a dancer. But today, I would have a hair salon with a bistro and I would cook something good for the clients.

What does Libor think about Nikol?

“When I saw this girl for the first time, my jaw dropped. When she asked me for a job, I was so nervous that I hired her without hesitation. She blended in on the very first day. Her work is just like her: pure and beautiful. She quickly adopted our philosophy and when I see her clients leave, I can’t tell if that was my or any of the other colleagues’ work.”

I highly regard the opportunity to work and develop in my field of work at this salon. I feel I’ve found my own place where people love me, despite my imperfections. It’s more than just a job for me. Each of my colleagues has a unique style and I’m happy that this experience will guide me to become a professional like them one day.

What would I do if I weren’t a stylist?
I’ve always seen myself as a manager but in the end, I decided to go to a hair-stylist school where we learned things I enjoyed and didn’t enjoy. But when I did my first real highlights with Libor, I realised that this is 100% what I want to do!

What does Libor think about Anna?

“Anička is kind! She has healthy self-confidence, and she is happy without the need to jovially belittle her problems. She doesn’t say no, her laugh is contagious, and her childish naiveté is disarming. Anička knows and doesn’t have to convince anyone. She learns, she viciously soaks up the experience of our old bards. She is dissatisfied with what she knows and that is gradually changing to humbleness. When you get to know her, you simply have to like her!”
